The following instructions are grouped together according to the display page they concern.

First Launch

When launched for the first time, Yeno Checklist asks you to agree to the End User License Agreement. You must complete this step in order to use the application.

Checklist Group Selection Page

You are now on the Checklist Group Selection Page. Two example checklist groups are already present in the list. You are free to edit them to suit your needs, or simply delete them. The number next to the checklist group’s name indicates how many checklists the group contains.

Selecting a checklist group

To select a checklist group, click on it in the list. The group you selected is now the current checklist group, and the Checklist Group Selection Page will no longer be displayed at launch. To change the current checklist group, click on the upper left button of the Checklist Selection page.

Adding a new checklist group

To add a new checklist group, press your device’s menu button, and select “New checklist group”. Fill in the fields and valid with the upper right “Save” button.

Editing and deleting checklist groups

To edit or delete existing checklist groups, press your device’s menu button, and select “Edit checklist groups”. The page’s layout changes to show a delete button (trash can icon) and an edit button (pencil icon) on the sides of every checklist group items. Click on the appropriate button to edit or delete a group. Click on the upper right “Done” button to eventually restore the page’s default layout.

Import a checklist group from a XML file on the SD Card

To import a checklist group from a file, press your device’s menu button, and select “Import checklist group”. Confirm the information dialog and select the group to import. Read this how-to for more details.

Export a checklist group XML file on the SD Card

To export a checklist group XML file on the root directory of the SD Card, press your device’s menu button, and select “Export checklist group”. Select the checklist group to export from the list. A confirmation dialog informs you about the name of the exported file on the SD Card.

Checklist Selection Page

This page present the checklists contained in the currently selected checklist group.

Selecting a checklist

To select a checklist, click on it in the list. To go back to the Checklist Selection Page, press your device’s back button, or click on the upper left button.

Enable Text-To-Speech

To enable speech synthesis on selective checklists, click on the list’s speech icon. Click again to disable speech synthesis.

Reset checklists state

To reset the checklists blank state, press on each list’s box icon until it presents an empty box, or press your device’s menu button, and select “Reset all checklists”.

Adding a new checklist

To add a new checklist, press your device’s menu button, and select “New checklist”. Fill in the fields and valid with the upper right “Save” button.

Editing and deleting checklists

To edit or delete existing checklists, press your device’s menu button, and select “Edit checklists”. The page’s layout changes to show a delete button (trash can icon) and an edit button (pencil icon) on the sides of every checklist items. Click on the appropriate button to edit or delete a list. Reordering checklists

To change the checklists order, press your device’s menu button, and select “Reorder checklists”. In the reordering page, drag items by their grabber icon, and drop them at their new position. Click the upper right “Done” button once your changes are done.

Checklist Page

This page present the content of a selected checklist. The view is composed of a task list, and contains quick “Check” and “Skip” buttons at its bottom.

Changing a task’s state

You have multiple options to change a task’s state. The first one consists in clicking the bottom “Check” or “Skip” buttons. It will change the state of the currently highlighted task (which is the first task that is not checked nor skipped in the list). You can also press your device’s trackball to obtain the same result as clicking the “Check” button. Finally, you can click a task item in the list to change its state to checked or blank. Nota: clicking an item directly in the list will not trigger text-to-speech for the new highlighted task.

Adding a new task

To add a new task, press your device’s menu button, and select “New task”. Fill in the fields and valid with the upper right “Save” button. Nota: the “result” field is used to represent the action to complete the task. The result text will not be read by text-to-speech.

To edit or delete existing tasks, press your device’s menu button, and select “Edit tasks”.
